| Description: | The premiere of Anthony Minghella's film, Cold Mountain, was the hottest ticket in town, as Sydney welcomed home Nicole Kidman. City streets around the State Theatre were closed as crowds of fans waited alongside the paparazzi for a glimpse of the star. Amongst the "white carpet" arrivals were famous Sydneysiders Premier Bob Carr, Lord Mayor Lucy Turnbull, Ian Thorpe and Peter Morrissey. Snow fell from surrounding rooftops as guests moved to the after party at the Sheraton on the Park. |
